This course has been approved by the IGCT and upon completion you can obtain insurance for it use.
The workshop is intended for those who wish to include electrotherapeutic care into their treatment regime. Upon completion you will be able to choose the appropriate modality to treat a range of neuromuscular conditions in an attempt to manage pain, swelling and muscular atrophy. Modalities covered include:
- TENS (home care)
- Interferential IF (clinical use)
- Neuromuscular stimulation NMS (clinical use)
Assessment
Continual assessment throughout the day using a case study approach
Short multi-choice paper (12 questions)
Pre-requisite
You must hold a Level 4 nationally recognised qualification in Sports Massage Therapy or equivalent. Those at L3 please contact PAYGT for additional information.
Award
PAYGT Certificate of Achievement (8-CPD points), approved by the International Guild of Complementary Therapists1.
